Nicole Bowman, Assistant Director at Lucky Dog Rescue"Some people maybe have alot of interest in a puppy but i think what people really quickly learn when they have a puppy is that puppies are hard work and puppies do not come with any training and we don't know anything about what a puppy is going to be like but the really great thing about a dog that has been in a (foster) home for some time and especially a senior dog is we know their personalities and we know the kind of love that they can give and that's something to consider."
"The absolute best part of doing what i do is when i get to see a dog go to a home that is absolutely perfect for them. When that dog shows up at that house and the people are overwhelmingly excited and the dog just they know that they are home and i get to leave there just knowing that that was the absolute perfect placement that's my favorite part of the day." |

Eileen Pieczonka, Author of Blueberry Bear series Animal Welfare and Children's Literacy Advocate"Jaimie was a rescue we rescued her when she was seven years old and she had a lot of issues, anxiety issues, afraid of kids, and afraid of dogs. I worked with her with a trainer for two years until she outgrew her phobias" she then went on to become "a registered therapy dog and i knew about the reading program with paws to read and in that October we became partners with paws to read and we were stationed at the Gilbert Library."
"I search out on the web for events with rescues because I am a very big rescue advocate along with Children's Literacy and i like to help out with rescues. So when i know that there is a big event going on i like to donate both of my books and if i am able to come to the event and support them. so that's how i found out about Lucky dog and i'm glad they had me come out and support this wonderful cause. Meet Mr. Ezio,
this @LuckyDog_Rescue alumni was born deaf and found deserted in a golf course in Scottdale. He was then found by Lucky Dog Rescue and adopted at 10-months-old by Daniella and her husband. Since then he's been taught sign language by his awesome family when he was fostered and adopted at the Lucky Dog Rescue.
