Angel M. JimenezAngel M. Jimenez is a Broadcast Journalism student at Arizona State University. She is passionate about storytelling and pays great attention to her work. She's also has had a deep love for animals since a young age and has a sweet Chocolate Labrador named Coco at her home in California that she always looks forward to visiting when she is on break from school.
Currently, at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, she is involved in Cronkite Cut, Walter Cronkite College Council, The State Press, and Her Campus. She is is a full-time Graphic Artist for The State Press and one of her current projects is a weekly pet portrait series "Furry Friends." She is also a writer for Her Campus and a Reporter/Editor for Cronkite Cut. In past years she has worked at school news publications such as WBTV in Pensacola, Florida from 2012-2014, The First Five in Brunswick, Maine from 2014-2016, and IslanderTV in Coronado, California from 2016-2018. She was also the Public Affairs Officer for the Coronado NJROTC program during her senior year of high school. Angel aspires to one day for a morning news show like Good Morning America or HLN Morning Express. She is also open to working at an online video production company like BuzzFeed. She also hopes to own an orange tabby cat and a mini Australian Shepard in her future. Julian KleinJulian is a journalism student at Arizona State University. The Phoenix Pet Guide is an awesome opportunity for Julian to channel his love for animals into a guide that helps connect pups looking for a home and someone who is looking for their next best friend.

Amanda Day Amanda Day is a freshman at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State. She is pursuing her dream to become a Reporter and work her way up to News Anchor for a local news station. Amanda’s dream of becoming a Journalist sparked during her senior year of high school when she took a broadcasting course.
She had the opportunity to report on stories, anchor and participate in multiple different behind the scenes roles. At the Cronkite School Amanda is involved with the Blaze College Radio where she discusses the weather, business, and entertainment news. She is also a reporter for Cronkite Cut, an entertainment news show where she reports on entertainment events in Phoenix. Amanda is apart of studio crew for Cronkite Cut as well and volunteers at Cronkite News by running cameras. Amanda only fell more in love with broadcast journalism since she started her college career. Not only does Amanda have a love for journalism, but she also has a love for animals. She has never had a pet, but teddy bear dogs have a soft spot in her heart. Chris ScraggChris is a journalism and meteorology student in his second year at ASU. Chris treasures the opportunity to bring valuable information about local animal shelters to Phoenix through the Phoenix Pet Guide.
His love of animals comes from a childhood surrounded by a plethora of pets- from litters of puppies and kittens to pet tarantulas and snakes. |
